Losing errection whenever wearning condom

Resolved question:
I am 32 years old and whenever I wear a condom, I lose my errection. If I manage to keep my erection, I can make love properly, but I need to be constantly stimulated to keep my erection with a condom on. I have bought Cialis 2.5mg daily, and was thinking of using them for a few days, so as to make sure, I will not have any problems or performance anxiety, because I have started dating this girl. What do you think?? (without condom, I never had a problem of getting aroused and having a normal erection).

Hello, Thank you for asking your query at DoctorSpring.com.

Loosing erection while putting on a condom is rather a common occurrence among young people. Loosely termed as condom collapse syndrome, this is almost never because of any physical illness, allergy or organic cause. All the reasons which can cause psychological erectile dysfunction can cause this problem too. Since condoms act as a barrier it slightly brings down your pleasure senses. I will put it like this if you are ‘5x’ physically stimulated with condoms it will be ‘3x’. So what if you are only ‘2x’ physically stimulated?

So it just means when you are less physically stimulated, or when there is stress, anxiety, or uneasiness – put on a condom and it will go down.

I would recommend you these steps for the problem :

1. Staying positive, stress free and anxiety free. May be more emotional intimacy with the partner can help.

2. Try a different brand, larger size of condom.

3. Let your partner put on the condom for you.

4. Try having the condom early on. You can have them on during foreplay, not just before the act of intercourse. This will take your mind of the act of 'putting on condom'.

Whatever is the case, this is just a passing phase. Please follow the recommendations; everything should be alright soon.

Hope this helps.
