Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
ELISA test is very sensitive and nearly 95-99 % sensitive if tested after 2 months of exposure.
So HIV can be ruled out. However can you please give me more details about your exposure?
If the risk is extremely high then an 4th generation test can be done at the end of 3rd month.
Feel free to discuss further
Regards.

Thank you,
Yes it was risky, after 2 months and two week I did the blood test Elisa (before marriage you should do this blood test in my country) but I paranoid should I do the test, or that one I did is enough.

Hello,
Yes 95-99 % the disease has been ruled out. Once ELISA is negative, HIV can be practically ruled out.
There is only that 1 percent chance since in some rare cases the HIV antibodies are no formed up to 3 months of the exposure. But considering your immunity is good, it should not be a problem.
So overall, i will reaffirm it has been ruled out.
Regards.

Thanks Dr.
After I got married ,We moved to UK, after three weeks of the honeymoon my wife had flu, what does that mean?

Expert:  Dr. Jaydeep Tripathy replied 2 Days.

Hello,
It could be due to a viral infection.
There is no connection between HIV and flu, in case you were wondering.
She probably just caught a viral flu, and she must have recovered by now.
Wish you good health!
Regards.
