Neurological cause for tiredness, seizure. PROVIGIL.

Resolved question:
Ive been going to psychiatrists and therapists for over 20 years, each of the long list of them immediately consider me either bipolar, depressive,or with mood disorder.
A month into studying me they realize i am none of the above, yet Rx me SSRIs ,stabilizers, lithium, and antidepressants with antisiezure meds....all make me attempt suicide after a few weeks.
I keep telling them to skip the med phases and LISTEN to me, but they never do.
Im allergic to boredom.a 15minute car ride is enough to trigger a narcoleptic fashion brain sieze, but rather than sleep,my frontal lobes explode into overdrive,i struggle to find happy thoughts or exciting hopes in order to keep from getting tired as i know im about to fall into exhaustive depression like symptoms that will lead to me trying to kill me. When stimulated out of this by good news, friends visiting, physical exercise, 300mg of caffien,100mg ephedrine, or fast rides on my murdercycle,i am fine.
One psych Rx'd me Provigil so i could take a safe med during a seizure, however, because my sleep study results didnt diagnose me as narcoleptic, my insurance wont pay, and a month of Provigil is over $500. I cant afford it.
Stimulants work for sure....but id rather find the neurological CAUSE than supplement the symptoms. Would anyone be able to help me with my situation?

Hello
Thanks for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com
I have gone through your question in detail and I can understand what you are going through.
The symptoms that you have stated do suggest that you may be having dysthymia. But if you have not shown improvement with anti-depressants or mood stabilizers then there is another possibility of you having an attention deficit disorder which frequently mimics depression.
Further improvement with stimulants again suggest that the diagnosis could be a attention Deficit Disorder (ADD). ADD requires treatment with stimulants like adderall or methylphenidate or non-stimulants like guanfacine or bupropion etc. Bupropion can be prefer as it is a non-stimulant and is a anti-depressant plus an ADD medication. It is started in the dose of 150mg and if required be increased to 300mg.
Do meet your doctor and get these medicines prescribed.
In case if you have any further query, do let me know.
Kind regards
