Pain in ankle, normal CRP, ASO, ESR, URIC ACID.

Resolved question:
Dear Sir,

My wife is having severe pain in her left ankle & foot.I have given her normal pain killer but it did not
respond. We consulted an Ortho Sergon. He has advised us to do the following test.
RAF,CRP,ASO,ESR,URIC ACID,FBS,ESR,HBDC TLC.How ever all reports came out to be normal.
He suggested to start medicine ALLOCORT(DEFLAZA CORT-6mg) for 15 days.Kindly suggest
the exact cause of the problem & its solution. We are yet to start the medicine mentioned above.

Regards.

Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
I understand your concern.
I have a few questions before I can give my opinion:
1) For how many days has she been having the pain?
2) Is there any recent history of injury to the ankle?
3) What is her height and weight?
4) Has an x-ray been taken? If not, I advise you get an x-ray of the left ankle and foot, which will give further clue to the diagnosis?
5) What are the aggravating and relieving factors of the pain?
Awaiting your reply,
Regards.
