Pain, tenderness after removing molar tooth. DRY SOCKET?

Resolved question:
I had a molar on the upper right side removed last Tuesday. I am still experiencing pain and tenderness from where it was extracted back to my ear. Can you tell by this picture if it looks like I have developed a dry socket? Thank you.

Hi,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
It is not very clear from the image that it could be a dry socket.
However if you are experiencing severe pain better to consult your dentist again and take a stronger course of antibiotics and pain killer tablets for 2 to 3 days more.
If are a chronic smoker better to stop smoking .
If diabetic then get a blood investigation done to check sugar levels.
Usually, the dentist may irrigate the area with povidone iodine or iodoform solution and it should heal asypmptomatically.
Hope this was helpful,
