Painful red itchy dots

Resolved question:
Ok Ive had these red itchy/painful dots for about 5 days now

I went to the doctors and they said its shingles but I'm not convinced the 2 spots where the rashes are don't look the same.

One area is a clump of red dots the other is one big dot.. the big one is on my back the cluster is under my armpit/chest

I don't have any flu symptoms or headaches related with shingles

Hello,

Thanks for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com. I can understand your concern.

The lesions are of herpes zoster or shingles.

It presents on one side , can extend from front to back, it's called dermatome. Both the lesions have a group of fluid filled blisters.

The treatment for it would be to take valacyclovir, which would require a prescription.

Application of neosporin cream over the lesions will be helpful.

Please let me know if you have any follow-up queries.

Take care
