Persisting pain after hurting toe while playing. Treatment.

Resolved question:
I hurt my toe playing softball about 6 months ago. The first week I could barely walk, but stayed off it for about a month and it eventually seemed to heal. The first game back in softball, I dove for a ball and hurt it again. I went and saw a doctor who gave me ibuprofen and a 'boot', which I wore for about 2 months (per his directions). I've had the boot off now for about a month and the toe doesn't hurt in normal activities, but if I put a lot of weight on the toe I can still feel it's 'not right' with a bit of pain when it stretches. I'm not sure if maybe I need to rehab the toe or if I need to go back in the boot, but I'd like your opinion!

Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
How long was the exposure for?
If the exposure was brief, then there should not be any problems.
But in case it was noticed late, you need to watch out for symptoms such as sudden fever, giddiness, rash, difficulty in breathing, chest pain, diarrhea, e.t.c
If none of these symptoms develop in 12 hours time, then there is no cause to worry.
Feel free to discuss further,
Regards.
