Peyronie's disease risky to live with

Resolved question:

Hi Doctor,

I am 16 years old and have been suffering from Peyronie's disease for a period of 3 years . I feel it doesn’t hurt or anything, but it feels awkward about having this. My question to you is, is it risky to lead a normal life with this problem?

Thanks for the question. Peyronie's disease is a connective tissue disorder involving the growth of fibrous plaques in the soft tissue of the penis which leads to abnormal bend or curvature during erection. You may feel better without any treatment, but watch out for symptoms like painful erection, difficulty with intercourse or penis deformity. In this case it would be better to consult a urologist for further treatment and surgical correction.
