Poping/craking sound after KNEE MICROFRACTURE SURGERY.

Resolved question:
I am a 54 year old female, overweight, who had right knee microfracture surgery done about 3 years ago. I am now experiencing a movement sensation- like a popping/cracking sound when I bend my knee, and a lot of pain behind my knee, that when I put weight on it, sometimes feels ok, and other times the movement happens and it hurts really bad, to the point where I can hardly put weight on it. Not sure what I should do. This is the second day this has been happening. I kinda tripped over the sliding glass door frame the other night, and it was after that, all this started happening.

Hello. Thank you for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com
I have read your question with diligence.
It looks from your details that most probably you may have meniscal tear..This is cushion like structure which give support during movements of knee.
At present you should have MRI of knee to get a clear information about this.Till then you should avoid excessive knee bending or walking up or down on stairs.
Hope this will help you.
Feel free to discuss further,
Regards
