The red marks that you mentioned is known as palmar erythema.

It can be present in individuals without any identifiable illness also.

It could also be due to conditions where there is capillary dilatation in the palms or localized inflammation etc.

It can be also present due to alcohol consumption, thyroid disorders, liver disorders, viral infection etc.

However it does not indicate HIV infection.

Ok, one last question? I have tested for all std´s except hiv. All were negative? So now I must go and check for hiv? But If I were to test negative for hiv, what could then my symptoms mean? You suggested earlier reiters syndrom which I see actually fits my symptoms? irritation in my eyes, rash palms and peeling palms and soles, stomach cramping some days, bad headaches ( seems my headaches and fatigue is a bit better after approx 4 months with severe headache and fatigue)also I have alot of muscle twitches and a buzzing feeling in my legs (neurological)? What about HTLV? As I have understood, so is transmission very difficult in a one night stand vaginal and oral sex to catch this almost mythical disease? I promise, this is my last questions before my hiv test :)? I actually realy hope I have reiters, than I atleast can understand my symptoms.........

Thanks for your reply.I can understand your concern.

As I had recommended earlier, Reiter's disease seems like a possibility. However the neurological symptoms that you mentioned, numbness of hand , buzzing in legs n headache may not be related to the condition.

These are not symptoms of HiV infection, but getting a test done would be a good idea. It would resolve your doubts.

Lyme's disease is not transmitted sexually.

HTLV is transmitted sexually and could have neurological symptoms.

It would be best to let your doctor evaluate you, he would be able to examine you physically and then decide the future course of action.

Thank you, I will now take a hiv test, and hopefully get a negative there. One last question, how likely do you think HTLV is transmitted in one night stand? This is my only risk ever, and as earlier mentioned, it was vaginal and oral. Thank you for your help

Hi doctor, I am gooing to various tests in september. I do have on other symptom, that is one palm gets much redder than the other, I think its anemia. This could explain why I am feeling so very ill. My girlfriend also has headache all the time. I am realy nervous now, but will go for conclusive testing in september. I have read hiv medicin can produce anemia, is this correct? Could anemia indicate early hiv as in 1 year infection?

Some HIV medicines can produce anemia. But your symptoms does not suggest anemia at all. The redness could be just an observational variation or a local reaction to temperature, which is not significant and it does not mean anemia. I am glad that you are getting tests done. This will clear alleviate your concerns. From what I feel a lot of your symptoms are anxiety related. Once the tests are done, you should try to address this concern.

I am pretty sure that your tests will be all clear.
