Reason for low WBC COUNT in CBC test.

Resolved question:
Hello Doctor

As a routine checkup, I did the CBC test and I have found tha WBC a bit low. (Please and the attached report)

Since I do not have any symptoms. What do you think the reason is? Is it normally happened?

Thank you!

Hello.
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com.
I understand your concern.
Since you do not have any symptoms, there is nothing to worry. The WBC as well as the Neutrophil count is a little bit low. However,a WBC count of 3.3 is acceptable when there are no symptoms. Neutrophils less than 1.5 are considered significant. As you have 1.63, it is not significant. Mean Platelet Volume (MPV) is only mildly elevated and with a normal Platetet count and no symptoms, can be ignored.
The White Blood Cells (WBC) are a dynamic population of cells whose main function is protection of our body against germs. Their number rises and falls as our body is constantly fighting off something, even in the absence of symptoms. In fact, fluctuating levels indicate a healthy immune system capable of responding to immune challenges. So you can relax and there is nothing to worry.
I hope this was helpful.
