Recurrent warts on hand despite cryosurgery

Resolved question:
I have warts on my hands from around 5-6 years. I have done cryosurgery 2 times, EC once, RF once, and laser. Cryosurgery did not work. After EC, RF and laser operations, the warts grew back.

Question 1:
But as per others, cryosurgery is more promising. So, I want to go for cryosurgery again and therefore want to know cryosurgery specialists in Bangalore (India).

Question 2:
Also, what are the other options should I consider for curing hand warts.

Question 3:
Are there any medicines that I can get in India through which I can do home treatment myself. Some medicines that I have heard of are Wartrol, freeze off, etc. but they are not available in India.

Hello,

Thanks for your query at DoctorSpring.

I can understand your concern.

I would recommend that you try solutions like salactin, duofilm etc which contain salicylic acid and lactic acid.

You can apply it at night daily only on the warts and not on the surrounding area.

However, I suggest that you follow up with your dermatologist while you are applying the solution so that he can monitor the progress and keep check for any side effects.

Regarding cryosurgery, I will not be able to recommend any particular doctor, however it would be better to go to an institute where they would be able to give cryotherapy effectively.

Please let me know if you have any queries.

Take care
