Risk of pregnancy by sex with TAMPOON, PLAN-B.

Resolved question:
So I had sex the second day of my period and I left the tampon in and had it removed 5 days later by a doctor. I took plan b within 48 hours and I was just wondering what the risk is for getting pregnant. I typically don't ovualte until 11ish days after my period. I am an anxious person who wants to know what's going on. And we did have unprotected sex but he can't remember if he pulled out of not

Hello
Thanks for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com
When taken within 48 hours, Plan B is successful in preventing a pregnancy upto 95 %.
So the risk of your falling pregnant is less than 5 %.
In fact even less, as you just cannot ovulate on the second day of your period, I would say less than 1 %.
All the best
Please feel free to discuss further.
Regards.

So a month ago I had unprotected sex but I took plan b within 48 hours. I was on my third day of my period when we had sex and we forgot to take out my tampon. About a week later my doctor found a lost tampon in my vagina and it had caused a little bit of vaginosis so she gave me some antibiotics. My period is usually on time or within a couple of days from that date. On my period tracker it says my period is 5 days late. my average cycle is about 27 days. I had sex with someone two days ago and we used condoms. I was wondering what your input was because Im freaked out.

Hello,
Thank you for the follow-up.
Why don't you just take a pregnancy test?
That will reassure you.

I do not see a possibility of pregnancy in your case.
Regards.
