Hello,

Thank you for choosing DoctorSpring.

In clinical terms the MRI report means that there is a rupture of the Biceps tendon where it connects the bicepts to the elbow. There is surrounding inflammation around the joint. This is not a rare condition and can be treated without much complications. This could result from a trauma or overuse.

I would require your clinical history to provide additional details. Please provide the medical history and symptoms as a followup
Thank you

I was lifting a dock plate approximately 800lbs with another guy and my elbow popped . I am 26 years old and do heavy manual labor and workout daily, will surgery be my best option to gain full strengjt?

Hello,

Since the rupture was from the elbow Surgery is generally the prefered option especially if full strength is important. Being said that other factors, the physical examination, the joint features, any shortening etc will have to be accessed before proceeding with surgery. This is best done by your treating Surgeon.

But generally Surgery will be better option, especially to regain strength.

Hope this helps
