Hi, I have heard that sexually transmitted disease Chlamydia is the most common ailment. Every year, number of people in US get affected and die due to this life-threatening ailment.  Can you tell me about Chlamydia symptoms in women and men both so that it becomes easy to trace this kind of STD?

 It is true that Chlamydia is one of the most common sexually transmitted disease in US.  It gets easily spread because it often causes no symptoms and may be unknowingly passed to sexual partners. You would be disheartened to know that 75% of infections in women and 50% in men are with symptoms.

  • Pain during urinating
  • Abnormal vaginal discharge that may have an odor
  • Itching or burning in or around the vagina
  • Bleeding between periods
  • Painful sex
  • Abnormal pain with fever and chills
