Sore, round lump in anus after anal sex. Cause?

Resolved question:
Hello,

I have an injury that doesn't SEEM too bad to me. But it's something I am completely unfamiliar with, so I figured I should at least ask a doctor.

- Female / 27 / takes 75mg spironolactone daily for acne / generally healthy and active

The injury is of a somewhat personal nature. My boyfriend and I decided to try anal sex for the first time last night. We did use lubricant, but this morning I found my rear was quite sore and there was a sort of small round squishy lump at the entrance to my anus. The only thing I have done so far is apply Preparation H twice since it seems likely that it is some sort of hemorrhoid. I took a picture (which was weird), but I'd rather let you seen the injury if you need to. It is a little uncomfortable and does not seem particularly large. I don't currently feel the need to go in to see a doctor in person, but am willing to if suggested. So Question 1: What do you think it is, and what should I do?

I would say sorry for making you look at this, but I guess this is your job . . . so instead I'll say thanks for choosing this career.

Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
I understand your concern.
From what I can appreciate in the picture, it does look like an external hemorrhoids, which probably was triggered by the anal intercourse.
This definitely needs to be physically examined. I will advise you to get it examined by your family physician. For the time being you need to be careful and avoid straining during BM, eat an adequate fiber diet, and also keep applying the Preparation H. The diagnosis can't be confirmed without a physical examination, so kindly get it done at the earliest.
Hope this was helpful,
Regards.
