Hello,
i have read complete details of your question with diligence.Your mother had spinal canal stenosis with involvement of L2-L5 level.Your mother is having compression of nerves which is cause for her symptoms. At present she should take following to have relief-
-Analgesic like pregabalin or gabapentin in doses of twice in there standard formulation will help her.

-She should also take a supplement of neurotropic vitamin like vitamin b1,b2,b6,etc.

-Local application of doxepin in legs will be helpful for her.

-She should also have good physiotherapy from an expert.

With best wishes

dear sir,
My mother has been given the above medicines as prescribed for above10 days although she reports a relief of 5% in her condition but she says she feels dizzy all day due to medicines and unable to do household work. She Says instead of pain killers which do not effect her much she requires a medicine that will give strength to her spinal cord so that she can do her day today work and can perform her routines effectively. request you to kindly note her requirement and advice medicine accordingly.

Hello,
Welcome.

I have read your query.

It looks that she is taking some medicines which affect her central nervous system.Vertigo is most probably due to effect of these medicines.
There are no medicines which strengthen the central nervous system. You may give her some neurotropic medicines which help in improving conduction across the nerves & help in well being of nerves. These medicines consist of methyl cobalamine, vitamin B1,B2,B6.She should also take help of a physiotherapist. This will help in improving pliability of muscles & create a feeling of well being.

Hope this all will help you.

With best wishes.
