Testosterone therapy and stopping it cold turkey

Resolved question:
I have been on Testosterone therapy for 5 months and I haven't seen any real benefits from it. What's the best way to stop it? Ihave heard cold turkey isn't the way to go.

Hello,

Thank you for asking your query at DoctorSpring.

I have discussed your concern with our team Endocrinologist Dr. JM
You haven't mentioned the indication/reason for using Testosterone. Testosterone supplementation is useful only in men with Hypogonadism. There is no specific recommendation for stopping testosterone. However it is safer to taper it off over a course of 2-3 weeks. You are recommended to do this in consult with your Doctor as you will need a testicular and prostate examination. A baseline complete blood count is also recommended.

Let me know the dose and type of supplementation you are taking. Also the indication.

Hope this helps
Thank you
