Hi
Thanks for your query at DoctorSpring.
You have not mentioned the exact weeks of pregnancy.
Generally, after 36 weeks of pregnancy, the lie ( presentation ) of the baby does not change.
For transverse lie, there is NO CHANCE of a normal delivery.
Caesarean section is the ONLY option for maternal and baby 's well being.
Sometimes, there is a condition, where the lie of the baby keeps changing right until term ( 40 weeks ).
That is, the baby is sometimes transverse, then breech, then cephalic and again transverse and so on.
IF that has been the case with you, then sometimes some doctors might wait till term to see if the baby moves.
But that is a rare occurrence.
If you have a transverse lie beyond the 9th month, chances of normal delivery are almost nil.
Take care
