vertebroplasty or kyhpoplasty for increment in vertebral height
i am of age 29 with height standing around 5-4" to 5-5". I was going through articles to increase height at this age which i really want to have and those articles mostly suggested leg lengthening surgery which is not only expensive but also very complicated and time taking. However there were couple of articles that suggested that by undergoing surgeries like vertebroplasty or kyphoplasty one can have some increment in his vertebral height thereby making his appearance more taller. And there were couple of more suggesting same.
Can you please tell if this is possible because i would really like to stand around 5-6" or so. If not then any other way apart from leg lengthening surgery to achieve the same.

I have read your question with diligence.
The citations which you have given are only useful to increase height
in case of compressed vertebrae due to pathological fracture.There is
no role of vertebroplasty in increasing height in a normal
person. This is a risky operation and you should not be even thinking about it. Those articles are written by non medical people it seems.
There are hormone supplements which are helpful in case of
increasing height before closure of epiphysis(which are growing ends
of bone).You may artificially increase your height by using shoe raise
which can be fitted in shoes .The only orthopedic method to increase
in height is by using ILLIZAROV technique.This takes time & you may
fel pain also.

Thanks for the reply. I understand the case and situation now in a much better way. The technique you told me ILLIZAROV technique is all about limb lengthening or reshaping limbs which can be used here. How far do you think would be feasible to undergo this kind of surgery? how much time it takes from performing operation and complete recovery and what's the cost involved? Furthermore, which place would be best apt to go for this surgery?

Illzarow technique is not just for limb lengthening. It is a used in many Orthopedics treatment. The duration can range from weeks to months. I will not be able comment on the cost as I am from another country. Personally I would not recommend this surgery for you, as you just near normal height. The procedure is complicated and in my opinion 'its not worth it'.
