white blood cells in urine

Resolved question:

I am a 69 years old woman. I was affected with renal flux disease in kidney. As I consulted with my kidney doctor, he suggested me to take a blood and urine test. In the result, it was found that it contained too many while blood cells. Is it of any abnormality? What does this result mean? What to do? Thanks.

Thanks for your query and concern. Higher count of white blood cells in urine is an indication of a urinary tract infection by some bacteria. Now, you should do a urine culture test and take some antibiotic medication according to the prescription of doctor. As you have had a previous medical history of renal flux, you may have to take an ultrasound test too, to confirm that you have not been affected with pyelonephritis. Take care.
