I would like to know a few of more details before I can opine.

1. Do you have any medical issues?

2. Are you on any long term medications?

3. Any recent stress or excessive exertion?

4. Where do you live and how are the environmental temperatures on your side?

Hope to hear from you at your convenience.

Thanks for writing to us again.

Hello

Thanks for the additional information.

You have not mentioned about any known medical conditions and i would assume that the answer is no.

At age thirty, reduction in semen amount is not normal. There has to be reason. Extremes of temperatures like cold or heat can reduce the amount as the production of semen is dependent on the temperature of testis.

First and foremost i would advice you to go for semen test. This will give you an idea about the quality of semen which is more important than the quantity. If the quality is normal like motility structure activeness etc then there is not much to worry.

I would suggest that you should go for a usg of pelvis. This will rule out presence of varicocele which is one of the common causes of low semen quantity.

Try drinking plenty of water and try supplimenting with Vit C and Vit E. This will further increase the semen count.

But first as i would suggest , go for a semen analysis test.

Hope this helps

If you have any further query do let me know.

Kind regards

Dr. Srikanth Reddy MD
