I am Babu belongs to ELURU, Andhra Pradesh. My Mother-in-law was went to hospital for general check-up. After the stress test, doctor asked her to go for CTA immediately.

After CTA reports doctor is recommending to go for stunts for 2 arteries. One artery having 80% blocks and other 40-50% of blocks.

Here with attaching the reports for your kind suggestions. She is Diabetic patient too and her sugar levels are 225.

Request your advice that is it necessary to go for the stunts for both the arteries or only medicines are enough?

Thanking you for your time,
Babu. A

Hello
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
Firstly I would like to know what were your presenting complaints ? Was it chest pain or breathlessness on exertion?
Secondly if the stress test was positive in diabetic and hypertensive patient coronary angiography should have been directly recommended instead of wasting your money over CT angiography.
Angioplasty cannot be directly recommended on the basis of ct angiography report as ct angiography is subject to observer bias and the reports may totally be different from the actual scenario inside the coronary arteries. Hence a formal coronary angiography is warranted before taking a decision regarding coronary angiography or bypass surgery or medical management as well as the number of stents if coronary angioplasty is planned.
So my suggestion for you is that you should undergo coronary angiography and then a decision regarding for the management should be taken
