Can dildos and sex toys result in STIs?

Resolved question:

I have been using different sex toys to make my sex life spicier. I want to know if sharing such toys can cause some infection as revealed in the herpes pictures.

Thanks for your question and concern. Regarding the safety of any product, there is always a leaflet provided with the product with the instructions written on it. To know more about the usage you could probably contact the manufacturer of the sex toy that you are using or else contact the GUM clinic for further information. You should be very careful in using the sex toys and wash them properly every time after using them. There can be a risk of some infections to be passed onto your partner in sharing the sex toys. And it can be herpes infections as revealed in the herpes pictures. Using sex toys such as dildos or vibrators might transfer your infections onto your partner and her infections onto you. The risk can be reduced to some extent if you put a new condom every time you use. You should never use the sex toy again for having vaginal sex especially after you use it in your anal area because by doing this you could probably transfer your bacteria resulting into the infection in vagina. It is very important to get the infections treated otherwise they may get worse as you must have seen in the adverse cases of herpes in herpes pictures of various patients suffering from herpes and this can cause various other problems as well. Most of the sexual diseases are curable. You should seek proper advice by your local doctor or at GUM clinic on different ways of reducing the risks involved with the infections. You can share your sexual relationships with your friends or your doctor in confidence to know more about safe sex. Good luck.
