Can GENITAL HERPES cause low back pain and elevated WBC?

Resolved question:
I recently did a urinalysis for insurance and it came back with occult blood and elevate WBC 10-15

Repeated two weeks later with doctor…rsults the same…he prescribed antibiotics and did a culture which was negative…I have no symptoms except for a pain in left side and low back pain, but no other urinary tract symptoms.

I do have genital herpes and was wondering if that could contribute to the urinalysis results or the left side pain…or are they unrelated?

Thanx

Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com.
Dear sir\madam,
It is highly unlikely that genital herpes is causing the left sided pain or contributing to the altered urinalysis.

Occult blood in urine with raised WBCs, in the absence of a positive urine culture, need to be evaluated.
You need to get further investigated with an ultrasound KUB(Kidney, ureters, bladder). If your ultrasound comes out normal, you may require even CT urogram to find the cause.

Feel free to ask queries.

Take care.

Is this related directly with a kidney disease or an infection from somewhere else? I do have some hypertension issues.

Dear sir/ madam,

Your symptoms are directly related to the urinary tract or kidney and not to an infection somewhere else. I cannot say it is due to a kidney disease at this stage. The recommended investigations have to be done first. Hypertension does not seem to be related.
