Hello,
Thanks for your query at DoctorSpring.com.

Let me know the associated features along with mentioned one.
Does she has magenta colored shiny tongue?
Does she has fever/ small oral ulcers/ small fluid filled vesicles on the tip along with red spots?

With the available described details, there appears to high possibility of inflammation of tongue taste pappila. Presence of red spots with discomfort suggests the diagnosis.

Inflammation could be due to secondary to hot drinks, vitamin deficiency, zinc deficiency and stress (although it appears to be less at the age of 11 years in your daughter case).

You should consult with pediatric physician/ internal medicine specialist and should go for thorough check up.
She should go for complete hemogram, peripheral blood film on preliminary basis.

Chances of viral/ bacterial infection appears to be less as infection may cause pus discharge, swelling and severe pain at affected site. If vesicles and ulcers are present then there could be chances of secondary bacterial infection.

Kindly upload pictures of affected site, if possible.

Deficiency of a particular vitamin is difficult to prove and she should take multivitamin supplements containing vitamin C for relief.
She should also take zinc supplements, Rebapimide for quick recovery.

She should also apply lexanox gel and triamcinolone gel on affected site.

She should take a teaspoon of glycerine 5 minutes before meal. This will help her in taking food without any pain.

Hope this helps, please feel free to discuss further.

Take care,
Wishing a speedy recovery.
