Dizzy spells with low heart rate

Resolved question:
For the last 4 months my mom has had 3 episodes of dizzy spells with a low heart rate. Each spell has lasted 3-4 days and the doctors can't find anything wrong with her. The first time they took her to the hospital but she was released 2 days later with no clue.

Since then she has had 2 more episodes with no hospital visits. She went to a Otolaryngology center and they said nothing is wrong with her ears and to see a neurologists. She also was prescribed something for dizzy spells that she has taken.

She also went to a cardiologist and they say nothing is wrong with her heart. How could nothing be wrong with her heart if all 3 episodes her heart rate was in the 40's to low 50s?

My mom had the third episode yesterday and I think sinus bradycardia is the cause but I am not sure anymore. Should my mom go to a cardiologist while she is having these dizzy spells? The drug is making her able to walk but from what I understand its just masking whats going on.

If she has sinus bradycardia is it fatal? And what does anyone recommend I do to help my mother? The bottom line is I want whatever my mom has to be discovered and treated ASAP. Thanks for any help.

Hello,

Thank you for choosing DoctorSpring.

I understand your concern and will try my best to help. I will require some additional information from your so that I can provide a more solid and learned opinion.

1. How do you describe these dizzy spells ? Just feeling low, blackening of vision ? spinning of surrounding ? If you could describe it in patients on words it would be great. Just that 'what happens'

2. Is there any associated symptoms or precipitants. ? As in sweating / chest pain / double vision / headache / feeling of skipped heart beat /unsteadiness/ weakness of legs / facial deviation/ involuntary urination / anything ?

3. You said it can last for few days. Does it last with same intensity for all the days.

4. Was blood tests done ? If so the results ?

You can reply as a followup
Thank you
