i have a pimple like absess on the left side of my nostril. it really really hurts and is swelling badly and is obstructing my left nostril on the inside a little bit too- i am worried it may be a staph infection but do not know. attached are pictures, i cannot see a head on it which makes me think it is not a pimple

You seem to be having folliculitis on the nose which is turning into a furuncle.
It's a bacterial infection if the skin caused by staphylococcus.
I would recommend that you immediately start taking an oral antibiotic like azithromycin. You will need a prescription for it. Application of mupirocin cream will be helpful. In case of pain, painkillers like paracetamol will help in controlling pain and will reduce the inflammation.
This condition needs urgent treatment. It will resolve with proper treatment.
