Fish is very good for your health it is good to add fish to your diet every day. Fish is a good source of vitamins, minerals, omega-3 fatty acids and proteins. But having fish the same way everyday could become boring so here are a few ways you could cook fish in a healthy and tasty way.
1. Steam it: You can steam fishes with less fat as fishes with more fat content live salmon don't steam very well. To add flavour through in some herbs and spices into the steamer or rub them on the fish before putting it into the steamer.
2. Poach your fish: Poaching is an excellent method of cooking if you like your fish moist. Add all the flavours you like to chicken or vegetable stock to make a beautiful court-bouillon . Take a large deep pan and lay your fish cuts flat in the pan and cover with the broth. Aloow to simmer (don't let it boil).
3. Baked fish : This is a great way to have fish if you like to eat your fish crispy. Take your fish cut and add the flavour and slightly drizzle olive oil over it and bake till done.
4. Grilling or Smoking : This is my personal favourite its fast healthy and tastes great. Flavour the fish to taste and brush olive oil or a little melted butter on it and place it on the far end of the grill. You can also marinate the fish if you have preparation time. To smoke fish add wood chips of the flavour you like to the smoker and place fish in it.
5. Stir frying : Though most fitness experts wouldn't agree with this stir frying is actually a healthy way to cook fish. Add oil to a hot wok and then add the vegetables and spices with the fish and stir fry till done .
