Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
With a PP of 304, and even FBS 184, you should be on medicines for sure. But it is surprising this values came out of nowhere. When was the last time you got your sugar checked?
Assuming you are on a strict diet with adequate exercise, if that is not keeping your blood sugar levels under control, you need medicines. Also before i suggest any, I will advise you to get HBA1C checked and you can tell me your values.
Based on HBA1c ( it will reflect your sugar levels from past 3 months ), I can advise you correct medicines.
Regards.

Hello,
This consult was generated over a month ago.
Still I have opened the consult and I am responding to this one follow-up.
HBA1c 8.2 indicates that your sugar values have been under very bad control over the past 3 months.
I will advise immediate lifestyle modification and a visit to the dietitian. to fix up a diet for you.
Also you can start on Metformin 500 mg twice daily as of now. This medicine along with diet modification and exercise should be continued for 3 months. If the sugar values still do not improve, then further medicines can be added.
Regards.
