Rash in chin after scratching. Can I use HYDROCORTISONE?

Resolved question:
In February this year I did not shaved my beard for almost a month. I had a scratchy feeling on the neck (under the chin) which later developed to a rash after I repeatedly scratched it. After 2 weeks the skin next to the rash also started to itch and as I scratched another rash developed right next to the first one. Both rashes have not healed for about a month now. Even though the skin peels of on the top, I can see that inside of the rashes are not healing completely. I used Hydrocortizone two times and is currently using Gold Bond Ultimate Eczema Relief cream. Please review the attached 3 pictures and let me know if you are about to determine the cause of the rash and what treatment i would need.

Hello

Thanks for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com
I can understand your concern.

I reviewed the picture. It seems to be a bacterial infection with inflammation. There could be an underlying fungal infection as well. I would recommend application of Mupirocin cream mixed with cortisone cream for a week. You can add clotrimazole cream to it after a week.
This should help in resolving the infection.

Please let me know if you have any queries.
Take care

Dear Doctor, the treatment suggested is First Week - Mupirocin Cream + Hydro Cortizone Second Week - Mupirocin Cream + Hydro Cortizone + Clotrimazole
The Mupirocin Cream is a Prescription Cream in US. How can I buy it here any substitute creams possible? Will Doctorspring be able to give a prescription for US?

Hello,
For prescription, you need to consult a local physician who can prescribe you the same.
We are not allowed legally to give out prescriptions since it is an online forum.
