Resolved question:
I have had a skin problem around my penis it is red and uncomfortable doctor has me on a mild steriod cream . How long should a person use a steriod cream?
Also my penis has shrunk or the skin on my penis has expanded because my penis head now retreats under the skin and I am circumcised. What could be causing this

You can use the steroid ointment for 2-3 weeks till the symptoms subside. Sometimes it can take up to 6 weeks for recovery from allergies in the penis head.
The penis is probably not able to expand properly because of the infection.
Did you get it evaluated by your dermatologist??
