Severe stomach cramps with feeling of fullness after taking food.

Resolved question:

I'm a 28 yr old female. For quite some time I have been experiencing sudden onset severe stomach cramps that last a few minutes and takes my breath away. Almost like a contraction. This happens a few times a month, even when not menstruating. Also a feeling of fullness after taking a few bites of food, then starving an hour later. For the past few days, feeling feverish, nausea, a little vomiting, tired. Help!

Hello,

From your symptoms you seem to be suffering from cholelithiasis.

Cholelithiasis presents with sudden pain now and then, that's colicky pain. Pain especially increases on taking fatty food. Cholelithiasis mainly occurs in obese people as increased cholesterol precipitates formation of stones. It's not anything to do with your menstruation; you don't have to worry about that.

I suggest you decrease the intake of fatty food. Switch to fiber food and protein. And I suggest you to work on your weight if you are overweight. You can try exercising everyday and have lesser food in more intervals. For the stones you already have, lithotripsy has to be done.

I suggest you visit a surgeon for lithotripsy. For your nausea you can take metoclopromide and combiflam for pain

Thank you
