I had cyrocautery of the cervix and had sexual intercourse 6 days later. How likely am I to get an infection?

Hello, Thank you for asking your query at DoctorSpring

After cryocautery is done, it's a must that you have complete abstinence from sex or for that matter placing anything in the vagina. This should be for four weeks, until cervix compeletely heals. Therefore, it seems you have a high chance of infection. Its recommended you take antibiotics.

After four weeks as well its recommended use condoms when having sex. This should be for six months. Even if you are on birth control pills, its recommended you continue using condoms, this is strongly recommended. I suggest you visit a gynecologist for further treatment.

Hope this helps. Please feel free to ask follow-up questions
