Hello,

Thank you for your consult at DoctorSpring.com.

Alcohol has a direct effect sperm count.

There are various other reasons for a decreased sperm count.
Would you please upload the report of your semen analysis?

Also, I hope you have consulted a Urologist, and the causes of abnormal semen analysis have been ruled out. These would include - chromosomal anomalies, infections, blockage of ducts, drugs, radiation, hormonal deficiency , heat etc.

If alcohol has been proved to be the causative reason, you need to stop drinking for ATLEAST 3 months before expecting a sustained and substantial increase / improvement in your sperm count.

Also, if you resume heavy drinking, you can expect to see the same negative effects again.

All the best
Please feel free to ask for further clarifications.
