What are the side effects of BIRTH CONTROL PILLS?

Resolved question:
I have been on the birth control, Kariva, for many years and I religiously take my pill daily. I usually get my periods at the beginning of each month. In May I didn't get a period. While getting a physical at my doctors I talked to him about the situation. I took a pregnancy test and it was negative. I am going thru a lot of stress right now so my doctor advised me that stress can delay my period. In June I finally got my period but it was in the middle of the month, in the middle of my birth control pack. Should I be worried about this? Should I keep taking my pills or stop and restart after my next period?

Hello
If you have been sincere with the pills, do not stop.
Continue taking the pill pack.
Finish this current pack and continue the next pack too as per schedule.
The period should stabilize in a couple of cycles, as this irregularity was most probably due to stress.
All the best
