Can healing scar be infected after using CHEMICAL PEEL?

Resolved question:
I just recently did a chemical peel on a scar on my forehead. A TCA peel very strong I have been following the directions in the box. Its healing up pretty fast I guess. I noticed that my scab that was once pink has now turned yellow and has left yellow hard crust on the top of it. Just wondering if it is healing right. Or if it is infected. Also since it is a small area particularly on my face do I need to cover it up or leave it alone in the air to breath? And also what products should I be using over the counter to get rid of an infection even if there wasn't. I posted a picture in the attachment of the wound that's healing it is smaller than a penny size on my face and I don't want it to scar and ruin my face because it is on my forehead. I also have sensitive skin so no makeup or regular soaps for me.

Hello

Thanks for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com.

I can understand your concern.

The picture is actually quite blurred. I would like to request for another picture. You can also take one zoomed out picture.

From what I can see, it seems to be infected. Neosporin cream is available over the counter which is an antibiotic cream however, it would be best to use mupirocin cream twice daily, neosporin cream at times could cause irritation. Mupirocin cream will require a prescription from your doctor.

You can leave the area open.

Hope this helps, would be glad to answer any follow-ups.

Take care
