Haevy bleeding, abdominal cramps, negative pregnancy test. FUNCTIONAL CYST?

Hi im 22 years old patientold and married no kids ..im gonna go to the doctor next week but i just cant wait to know what is going on me .. what happends is that i got my period 2days early andit was heavy bledding and so red .. and only last for 2 days and the next 2 days it was like brown discharge .. and this is not normal my period usualy lasted for 6 .. and now ibeen with lower back main abdominal pain like cramps i had already 2 negative pregnancy test.. plus im a birth control pills which sometimes i forget to take but i take it the next day.. and for the record i had in the beginning of the year 2 functional cyst in each side and im afraid that it could be that again...

Functional cysts generally are asymptomatic.
Since you are sometimes erratic with your birth control, the altered menstrual bleeding could be due to that most probably.
Do not worry about it, as your pregnancy tests are negative.
Once in a while, some factors like stress, weight changes, travelling, drinking, smoking, late nights, erratic eating, exercise, change of climate etc can cause this.
Just have an internal exam and a pelvic ultrasound scan in addition to testing for thyroid hormone levels.
