Thanks for your query and it’s appreciative that you have so much concern for your girlfriend’s private problems. As you have been having sex for one year and she hasn’t had problems earlier it means that she is quite comfortable in a sexual intercourse with you. Now coming to the discomfort she is facing during recent times may be due to some rashes that would have occurred on her vagina. Since you both have been in a sexual relationship you should understand that often during sex the insertion of penis in vagina leaves some rashes and herpes on the outside and inside of the vagina. This occurs when sex is done without a condom and the traces of ejaculated fluid from the penis remains on the side walls of vagina. Therefore it is imperative that vagina should be properly washed so that nothing is left out on its face as it could later convert into rashes. You said that you have seen pictures of herpes, well those pictures do not really tell the exact position your girlfriend is in. There might be a case that as per now she would only have some rashes in her vagina which could be treated after consulting a doctor. The pictures of herpes on the internet usually show some extreme cases, so it is not necessarily possible that your girlfriend has reached that position as she has experienced it in recent times only. You should encourage her top visit a doctor even if she feels embarrassed to do so. If you will be able to convince your girlfriend it will benefit her as she will get the required treatment. Wish you good luck.
