Resolved question:
I have pain around my navel: doesn't feel that bad except when touching, pressing, bending over or applying some pressure. Pain's bad when pressing on top left side of my navel, top right side, and bottom right side. No pain when on bottom left side. Urine and stools good--a bit nauseous but I think that might be because I'm really nervous that it might be something else and I already have nervous gastritis and colitis (maybe IBS) which had been controlled until yesterday, when the pain appeared around 4pm. i have just been to a doctor to rule out my appendicitis fears and he said I could have actually pulled a muscle near my navel, but nothing else. Help?

Since a doctor has already examined you and considers this pain is due to pulled muscle, you can painkillers for relief. You can take tablet ultracet twice a day till you get relief.
The pain in the region you have mentioned can occur in acid peptic disease, pancreatitis and diverticulitis. To rule out pancreatitis, serum amylase and lipase test may be done. Ultracet again would give good relief even if it is due to pancreatitis. But if the test shows high values, you may need in-patient treatment.
If it is due to gastritis, you will get relief with prilosec or zantac.
Since you do not have a history of constipation, diverticulitis is unlikely. I hope that answers your question.

I am traveling this week and cannot go to a doctor for tests. Is there a way to rule out pancreatitis?

I just mentioned about the possible causes of pain based on the information you have provided. I have mentioned about the other causes as well.
Pancreatitis pain would be severe, continuous pain which may radiate to the back.
Diagnosis can be done only with serum amylase/lipase test and a CT scan of the abdomen.
You can take ultracet for relief. If the pain persists, you can get these tests done.

OK. Since my pain is not that severe, I think it might be acid peptic disease or gastritis. Thank you so much.
Yea, that is more likely and more common. Unless you have any warning symptoms like sever pain, colicking pain, vomiting, fever, pain on urination, pain in back or should you need not worry.
Just try to avoid alcohol and irritant /spicy food for 3-4 days.
