Hello doctor I have genital warts and I know this. There was only a guy whom I love and slept with him. Last 7 months were full of sufferings for me. I tried aloe vera 3x a week for about 4 months. Many went and few new came in this duration. It was very irritating and difficult to sleep in nights. I had gone through the worst pain when my doctor froze them with nitrogen. We did that 4 times and then he said its all clear. I have known that HPV is lifetime but since September I did nothing. But I got a site which says these viruses can be killed by your immune system. My doctor was not that much sure about this. He just said that if you are clear you can’t give this to else. But there is no such symptoms on that guy and even nothing on his girlfriend.Is there any symptom of sexually transmitted disease? Why it is so?

Thanks for your question and concern, common sexually transmitted disease caused by virus is represented by genital warts. These warts can come at any age and can affect both man and women. Common age is 17-33 years for this. There is also a risk of sexually transmission of these viruses. These are different from common warts which cause skin infection. Somehow these genital warts are linked with use of pills because of sexual contacts without any barrier, multiple sex partners and sex at early stages. There is nothing like any single treatment by which these can be stopped from coming back. In some cases these may go by there own in few months. The treatment for this include: cryotherapy, Laser, Electrodessication. Patient must go for regular checkup. If these warts are not treated in initial stages then patients must follow the experts’ advice. Take care
