Small lump on neck, ULTRASOUND report. Need FNA?

Resolved question:
Hi,
My mother is a CVA brain patient and is on statins/BP medicines/diabetics medicines and on Ecosprin.
Recently a small lump was identified on her neck and her endocrinologist suggested for the ultrasound.
Please find attached the report.Request you to please suggest what are the findings and do we need to do FNA procedure.
If yes, then do we need to stop ecosprin before this procedure.

Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
You need to first check her thyroid function by doing TSH, T4 and T3. and Thyroid Antibodies, Anti-TPO Antibody test. Only then we can comment on the results and what management needs to be done.
Feel free to discuss further,
Regards.

Ok i will get the blood tests done...The followinf are the results for the tests conducted around 6 months back: T3 1.33 T4 6.40 and TSH 1.41 However, according to you what could be the case on the basis of ultrasound. We have to travel for next 4days.Shall we cancel our trip and do these tests 2mrw itself OR is it okay if we can do the tests on this Saturday.I mean can she get any symptoms or problems on the way.

There is nothing to worry. You can travel and get the test done thereafter. Most likely, she has thyroiditis, but has normal thyroid function and hence doesn't require any treatment immediately.
