Patient replied :

Yes I have had a hx of hypertension before. My mother has angina and is T2DM. I do smoke. I was diagnosed with arrhythmia at age 22. I have had ECGs done in the past. They have been abnormal. Lately I have been getting dull chest pain. But it eventually subsided. BGLs are between 5-7. I have been tested for DM and the test was negative.

Hello,
In that case, you definitely need medicines, however, I will still advise the BP be monitored for 3 days and if persistently the diastolic values are over 90, you will need to start Tab. Envas ( Enalapril ) 5 mg once daily, and any calcium channel blocker according to your physician's guidelines. You need to start with these 2 medicines, Enalapril has long-term good protective effect on the heart too.
Hope this was helpful,
Regards.
