Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
Thanks for sending images of humerus.I have gone through these images,it looks that there is fracture of neck of humerus.
This fracture should be fixed by surgery with application of plates by an experienced orthopedic surgeon. This will help in early recovery & gaining movements of shoulder.
Hope this will help you.
Feel free to discuss further,
Regards.

Thanks for the answer! I cannnot afford surgery. At present, the arm is in a cloth sling? so it affords the entire range of movement.

thanks for the answer about my broken humerus.. I cannot afford surgery. at present the arm is in a cloth sling, so that almost whole range of movement is possible. the fracture area does not hurt unless i extend an arm sidways at an angle, and therefore i do not do that.
please advise as to what treatment could be done that would not involve an operation.
thank you very much

Hello,
Thank you for your follow up. It is unfortunate that you are not in a position to consider surgery.
In that case, you should keep your limb in triangular sling with plaster slab for hand. You should avoid elevation of your limb. There is a possibility that keeping the affected arm in fixed posture may cause the fracture to unite but there are increased chances of shoulder stiffness in that case. You should keep a watch out for this .To prevent shoulder stiffness, I would recommened physiotherapy sessions after repeat XRay proves that the fracture has united (healed into normal alignment).
Hope this helps, feel free to discuss further,
