Can GONORRHEA/CHLAMYDEA transmit without visible symptoms?

Resolved Question:

This is a first but yesterday around 2pm I visited a massage parlor and was given a happy ending by the young lady. She gave me oral sex with a condom on. She lightly licked and kissed other areas, like my chest, yet never put her bare mouth near my urethra. The act only lasted about 5 minutes and then I took the condom off and she brought me to orgasm with her hand and some lube. Immediately afterward she cleaned me off with an alcohol covered tissue and freshly heated wet towel. I then proceeded to give myself a better clean both with a new towel and soap/water in the restroom. I asked her about her recent tests, symptoms, etc and she advised me that she had just been to the doctors within the last two weeks although she is a sex worker so exposure to others most likely happened since. She did explain that she never allows customers to finish in her mouth, never engages in sexual intercourse, and always, always, uses condoms. Again though, a sex worker so who knows how accurate that actually is. She actually seemed a little surprised that I was so worried and began to get offended by my questions because she herself took it so seriously.

I plan to visit the dr's office tomorrow although my anxiety is really getting the best of me. I've tried to research HIV/STD exposure on this topic and have found little information that is conclusive. The CDC is less than helpful. I'm looking for a bit more of a concrete explanation on just how much risk is present given the above scenario. I have not left out any details. Should I seek a prescription for PEP? How long should I actually wait before being tested for gonorrhea/chlamydia/HSV? Can I transmit STD/STI's without engaging in sexual activities, like kissing or genital touching, like if someone touches mine? I've read that gonorrhea/chla is very contagious, even through touch and no visible symptoms?

Thank you.

Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
I understand your concern.
HIV infection can occur only through unprotected sexual intercourse. It can't be transmitted through simple acts of kissing, through oral sex, or by sharing inanimate objects like towel. Also, you had a condom on, so you took all your precautions.
Regarding other STDS, again, with a condom on it effectively prevents most STDs apart from herpes. If the lady has genital herpes with open lesions, other areas coming in contact with the lesion can spread herpes.
You do not need any prophylactic treatment.
Please feel free to discuss further,
Regards.

Thank you for addressing my primary concerns. Could you please elaborate on the details of other STDs including herpes? I also asked these questions How long should I actually wait before being tested for gonorrhea/chlamydia/HSV? Also, according to the CDC, HIV can be transmitted through oral sex—http://www.cdc.gov/hiv/risk/behavior/oralsex.html

Hello,
There are lots of controversial studies about HIV being transmitted through oral sex.
The only way it can be spread is if the guy ejaculates inside the mouth and the partner has an open lesion.
So you need not worry.
You can get yourself tested for all the bacterial STIs. But there is very less chance since you had a condom on.
You can't transmit any STI without kissing or genital touching.
Herpes 1 can be transmitted through kissing. Gonococcal and Chlamydial infection will present with symptoms similar to UTI, with a discharge from the urethra.
Feel free to discuss further,
Regards.
