Hello
I apologize for the exceptional delay in replying and thank you for your kind patience.
These are genital warts. They are caused by the hpv virus and are sexually transmitted.
They can be treated by application of Aldara cream or by getting them burnt out. You will require a prescription for Aldara cream.
Please let me know if you have any queries.
Take care

Will they go away on their own? Could it be anything else?
Hello,
Thank you for your follow up.
A diagnosis of genital warts is usually made by physical examination. Currently, there is no HPV test recommended for men. Using aldara will help your immune system fight off the HPV virus responsible for the condition.
The primary reason for treating genital warts is for reduction of symptoms (including relieving cosmetic concerns) and ultimately, removal of the warts. Treating genital warts may not necessarily lower your chances of passing HPV on to your sex partner. If warts are not treated, they may go away on their own, stay the same, or grow (in size or number). They will not turn into cancer.
Available therapies for genital warts likely reduce, but probably do not eradicate, HPV infectivity.
I would also recommend that you get the HPV vaccine (Gardasil), it does not cure existing HPV infections or disease (like genital warts). But it protects against new HPV infections;
Hope this helps
