Plan B and obesity

Resolved Question:

I took Plan B but then I was reading that it is less effective on women that are overweight. Can I take Ella even though I already took Plan B?

Plan B and other emergency contraceptives have slightly higher failure rates in women who have a BMI greater than 30. This caveat applies to Ella as well.

Taking two emergency contraceptives would add to the side effects and has nit been shown to have any added benefits. You still stay reasonably well protected with the plan B. There is no advantage of adding Ella.

It wont hurt you to piggyback Ella with Plan B.
However, there is no need, as there is no added benefit.
Both have the same mechanism of action,so its just an unnecessary repetition.
