BIOGRAPHY

Dr Prasad has extensive experience in laparoscopic surgery. Since performing his first laparoscopic cholecystectomy (gall bladder removal) in June 2006 he now performs basic as well as advanced laparoscopic surgery on regular basis. Till date he has performed over 100 gallbladder surgeries, over 150 appendectomies, over 100 lap hernia repairs, about 50 advanced laparoscopic procedures such as abdominoperineal resection for cancer of rectum, rectopexy for prolapse rectum, splenectomy, lap right colectomy , retroperitoneoscopy, cardiomyotomy for achalasia cardia.
 
Dr Prasad is also a post graduate medical teacher and keeps himself updated with the latest developments in the field of laparoscopy. He has the distinction of having performed the first SILS (Single Incision Laparoscopic Surgery) surgery in Mangalore which boasts of six medical college and several reputed private nursing homes.
