Dr. Om J Lakhani is a Consultant Endocrinologist working at Zydus Hospital in Ahmedabad. His qualifications include DNB Endocrinology from the top DNB training institute Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi and MD and MBBS from the prestigious Maharaja Sayajirao university of Baroda. He has an outstanding academic record with four gold medals in MBBS and two gold medals in MD Medicine examination. 

He is endorsed by the Royal College of Physicians, UK and accredited with 'Specialty certificate in Endocrinology' by RCP, UK.  He is the winner of the President, NBE Gold Medal in Endocrinology.

He was the winner of the celebrated Endocrine society of India –Young scholar award (ESI-TYSA) and has also won the coveted ‘AV Gandhi Award for excellence in Endocrinology research’ during his training career. He is also the winner of DR. VITHALRAO NADGOUDA for best thesis in MD Medicine. 

Dr. Om J Lakhani has been involved in the teaching of Postgraduate and Undergraduate medical students as Assistant Professor of Medicine and as a tutor in Endocrinology with University of South Wales, UK.

He is also involved in research and academics and he has completed the thesis on “Management of Glucocorticoid-induced hyperglycemia”. He also manages a popular Endocrinology blog called Endocrine cases.
