Am I still contagious after years of wart free?

Resolved Question:

I got diagnosed with HPV back in 2009. Warts were on my cervix, so I had them removed and everything went well. That has been my one and only outbreak. I have been through a lot off stress since then (which is what brough on the first outbreak) loss of grandparents in both 2011 and 2012, plus childbirth and still I had it have nothing. My question is am I still contagious after the 6 years of being wart free? All pap smears also come back normal.

Once you have had HPV, I am afraid you are contagious for life.
This is because you are harbouring the virus, and are capable of transmitting it sexually anytime.
Even if you had a 6 year wart free period.
Even with normal pap smears.
The answer is yes - you are still contagious and due precautions must always be followed.

Is the reason your always contagious is because you just don't know when it will stop laying dormant? Like if I had sex while its dormant, did I pass it on?

The reason is that your cells never actually clear it.
Yes, even while dormant, you could transmit it sexually.
